NEW STRIP MALL OPENS AT ST. CHARLES AND ROUTE 83
ELMHURST, Ill., November 16, 2011—The City of Elmhurst and Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry will join commercial real estate developer Smith Capital Management, Inc., at an 11:30 a.m. ribbon cutting on Monday, November 21, to celebrate the Grand Opening of the newly-built five-business strip mall on the south side of St. Charles Road just east of Route 83 (former site of Amling’s Flowers).
Developer Jason Smith of Smith Capital Management will be joined by Elmhurst Mayor Peter P. “Pete” DiCianni and ECCI President and CEO John Quigley, along with representatives of the five tenant businesses.
The anchor tenant is Verizon Wireless (560 West St. Charles Road) and the building’s red and white exterior color scheme match Verizon’s corporate colors.
The building’s other tenants are (in alphabetical order) Potbelly Sandwiches, Qdoba Mexican Grill, Smashburger and Total Hockey.
Verizon Wireless and Qdoba Mexican Grill have already joined the Chamber and will be staging Grand Opening ribbon-cutting events of their own.
Smashburger is hosting an invite-only VIP Sneak Peek on Tuesday, November 22, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Established in 1918, the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry is a voluntary organization of business and professional men and women who have joined together to promote the civic and commercial progress of the community.
The Chamber also serves the needs of it members through services, programs and events that provide opportunities for networking and referral, business education, development and promotion, governmental representation and community involvement.
