FAMILY IS AT THE HUB OF ELMHURST CHAMBER STEAK FRY
ELMHURST, Ill., September 10, 2007 – More than 200 adults and children will enjoy all the Elmhurst Park District recreational amenities of The Hub at Berens Park (493 Oaklawn Avenue) during the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s 2007 Steak Fry/Business After Hours on Wednesday, September 19, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
For the second year in a row, the annual event is co-sponsored by ARC Disposal & Recycling Co., Inc. (2101 South Busse Road, Mt. Prospect) and the Elmhurst Jaycees (P.O. Box 235).
The Chamber served a record 300 members and guests at last year’s Steak Fry.
Steak Fry attendees will have free use of some of The Hub’s amenities, including an 18-hole miniature golf course, batting cages and sprayground, as well as the Lee A. Daniels Pavilion.
“This is the perfect way for our members to enjoy a fun-filled family event during the last official week of summer,” said John Quigley, Chamber President and CEO.
Adults will dine on a hand-cut rib-eye steak dinner with all the fixings from The Silverado Grill (447 Spring Road) in Elmhurst, while children will chomp down on hot dogs and potato chips. Refreshments include beer and wine for adults, plus soft drinks.
