Board of Directors Nominations
The Chamber is accepting Board of Director nominations for seven of the three-year terms to be filled in the October election. The 30-day nomination period runs from September 4 through October 3.
Any member of the Chamber in good standing can nominate himself/herself or another Chamber member in good standing by submitting said nomination in writing to the Nominating Committee at the Chamber office no later than 5:00 p
.m. on Friday, October 3, signed by the nominator and two seconding nominators who are also Chamber members in good standing. Nomination forms are available at the Chamber office.
Business After Hours
Elm Brook Healthcare (127 West Diversey Avenue) will host the Chamber’s Business After Hours on Wednesday, September 24, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Family Steak Fry
The Chamber will sponsor its annual Family Steak Fry at the Holiday Inn Elmhurst (624 North York Street) on Wednesday, September 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. Adults will dine on steaks from The Silverado Grill (447 Spring Road), while children will have their choice of hamburgers or hot dogs. Treats will be provided by Chase Root Beer (867 North Addison Avenue, Suite 2D) and the Holiday Inn. GO! Products, Inc. (576 North Michigan Avenue) will provide a Grill-n-Chill. Cost is $15.00 per adult, with children and/or grandchildren free. Dinner includes non-alcoholic beverages and a cash bar is available.

Ivan Valcarenghi, DDS, Cosmetic Dentistry (127 West Vallette Street) will host the Chamber’s Membership Breakfast on Thursday, September 11, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.

The City of Elmhurst (209 North York Street) received “Tree City USA” recognition from the National Arbor Day Foundation for the 23rd consecutive year through the work of the Forestry Division and the Finance Department was awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officer Association for the 13th straight year for its annual comprehensive financial report.
