Elmhurst, IL –Just in time for the holidays, York Theatre and Immaculate Conception High School will be presenting the 1947 timeless classic, “Miracle on 34th Street,” on Thursday, December 6th at 1:30 PM and 7 PM. Before the 7pm film, capture some Christmas spirit as the IC Knights Chorus performs a few holiday favorites. The York Theatre is located at 150 N. York Street in downtown Elmhurst. Movie admission is only $5.

 

When Macy Department Store’s star Santa is institutionalized as insane for claiming he is the real Santa, a young lawyer defends the elderly man named Kris Kringle. Although he is defending this supposed Santa in court, everyone cannot help but wonder whether or not this department Santa is the real deal! This Christmas film directed by George Seaton is a perennial family favorite and is considered to be one of America’s 9th most inspiring films by the American Film Institute.
