Elmhurst, IL — GreenMan Theatre concludes its milestone tenth season with the Pulitzer Prize winning classic Harvey by Mary Chase. The production opens May 2 and runs three weekends until May 18.
Harvey is Elwood P. Dowd’s best friend, a six-and-a-half-foot rabbit. Unfortunately for Elwood, he likes to introduce Harvey to his sister Veta’s society friends. Pushed to her limit by Elwood’s eccentric behavior, Veta decides to have him committed to a sanitarium to avoid embarrassment for the family. Veta is surprised, however, when the doctors admit her instead of Elwood. Is Harvey real? Elwood is certain, and maybe even Veta can learn to live with him.
The production is directed by Jim Bruner. The cast includes Bill Boggs (Elmhurst), Richard Bucchi (Winfield), Denis Duffy (Arlington Heights), Vicky Giannini (Chicago), Chuck Jacobson (Elmhurst), Jerry Moore (Lombard), Dana Peters (Hoffman Estates), Jennifer Price (Burr Ridge), Taylor Sebesta (Elmhurst), Barb Singelmann (Elk Grove Village), and Kim White (La Grange).
