Annual Meeting/Silent Auction
The Chamber will conduct its Annual Meeting 2003/Silent Auction at Monty’s Elegant Banquets (703 South York Road, Bensenville) on Tuesday, November 18.  The 30-minute Annual Meeting begins at 5:30 p.m.  The Silent Auction and “Taste of Elmhurst” runs from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Food will be provided compliments of a dozen Chamber restaurants

, with the Chamber providing non-alcoholic beverages.  A cash bar is available.

 

Board of Directors Election
Eleven candidates, including five incumbents, are running for seven positions in the Chamber’s 2003 Board of Directors election.  Ballots were mailed to members on October 14 and must be returned to the Chamber office by Friday, October 24.  Voting results will be announced after certification by the Teller Committee.

 

Character Counts/Red Ribbon Breakfast
Character Counts in Elmhurst and Red Ribbon Week will officially kick off at Churchville Middle School (155 Victory Parkway) on Tuesday, October 21, at a 7:30 a.m. breakfast sponsored by Elmhurst Community Effort, Egg Harbor Cafe (140 Palmer Drive) and the Chamber.  Elmhurst Mayor Thomas D. Fall Luncheon
York Community High School graduate Jack Lavin, Director of the State of Illinois’ Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO), is the Keynote Speaker at the Chamber’s 2003 Fall Luncheon at the Diplomat West Banquet Halls, 681 West North Avenue, on Wednesday, October 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  The cost is $30.00 per person.
