DuPage County Board Chair Dan Cronin of Elmhurst will deliver the his Annual State of DuPage County Address during a Multi-Chamber Luncheon and Expo at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Chicago-Downers Grove, 2111 Butterfield Road, on Wednesday, January 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
The annual event is jointly sponsored by the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry and eight other chambers serving communities across DuPage County.
Also participating are Chamber 630 (Downers Grove and Woodridge), Darien Chamber of Commerce, Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce, Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce, Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce, Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce, Westmont Chamber of Commerce and Wheaton Chamber of Commerce.
Luncheon ticket costs are $35 per member of a participating chamber and $50 per future member. Online registration is available via each chamber.
Last year’s luncheon attracted a “sellout” crowd of some 225 businesspeople and 40 exhibitors.
“Elmhurst has participated since 2018,” stated John R. Quigley, ECCI President and CEO since 1999, “and the number of chambers participating, members attending and businesses exhibiting has grown each and every year.”
Cronin served in the Illinois General Assembly for 20 years before his first election as DuPage County Board Chair in 2010 campaigning on a platform of fiscal responsibility and efficient government. He won re-election in 2014 and again in 2018.
His Address will cover new laws, economic development, challenges and enhancements coming into DuPage County in 2020.
