BizKids Best Ball Scramble
The Chamber, in partnership with the Elmhurst YMCA (211 West First Street), will host its Second Annual BizKids Best Ball Scramble at River Forest Country Club (15W468 Grand Avenue) on Monday, July 17, starting with registration at 11:30 a.m. The cost of $200.00 per person include 18 holes of carted golf on a premiere private course, lunch, dinner and more. Business After Hours
Keller Williams Realty Results (112 South York Street) will co-host the Chamber’s Business After Hours on Thursday, June 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., along with American Home Mortgage (105 South York Street), Edward Jones Investments/
Jeff McGinnis (112-A South York Street, Suite 200) and La La Land (112 South York Street). The event is being catered by 100 South Chop House & Grill (100 South York Street).

Elmfest 2006/June 8-11
A new and improved Elmfest will celebrate its 24th Anniversary in downtown Elmhurst from Thursday through Sunday, June 8-11. The Spectacular Midways Carnival, sponsored by the Elmhurst Jaycees, will run undivided along First Street between York Street and Maple Avenue all four days. For the first time, the Comcast Entertainment Center will be open on Thursday from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., with a special $5.00 coverage charge benefiting the District 205 Foundation. The festival proper will not open until Friday at 4:00 p.m. (previously 11:00 a.m.), with all food booths along the east side of a two-sided Vendor Midway on Addison Avenue between First and Second streets. The Fifth Third Bank City Centre Stage, Elmhurst Park District Playground/Exploration Center and other sponsored family attractions will run on York Street from Schiller to First streets and along First from York to Commerce Parkway. Glos Post 2048 and Chamber will sponsor Elmhurst’s 88th Annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29, starting at 9:30 a.m. from York and Third streets in downtown Elmhurst. The Grand Marshal is Elmhurst resident Daniel Wallace Foot, a Purple Heart-winning Iraqi war veteran and reservist sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. A post-parade ceremony will take place at the Veterans Memorial in Wilder Park at around 11:15 a.m.
