Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art (220 Cottage Hill Avenue, Elmhurst, IL) is hosting “Lapidary Day,” an all ages free event on Saturday, November 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

See demonstrations by artists from the West Suburban Lapidary Club including: beading, silversmithing, cabochon cutting, wire wrapping, and faceting.  Free hands-on activities and jewelry cleaning.  The event is great way to see the Museum and learn more about lapidary art.

Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art will also host “Create A Gem Tree,” an activity for ages 9-adult on Saturday, December 7, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Lapidaries Bill and Lois Zimma of the Des Plaines Valley Geological Society teach how to create a small tree using gemstones and wire.  These beautiful trees never need water and make a great gift.  Participation is $25 per person, or $20 for each museum member.

Call (630) 833-1616 for reservations.
