Elmfest’s 20th Anniversary On Air
The highlights of Elmfest’s 20th Anniversary are being aired in July by “Elmhurst Our Kind of Town” on Channel 6 of AT&T Broadband (688 Industrial Drive) on Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m., and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m.

Crusading cardiologist Louis S. McKeever, M.D., Midwest Heart Specialists, Elmhurst Memorial Hospital (200 Berteau Avenue) and Alzheimer’s researcher Dr. Helga Noice, Professor of Psychology, Elmhurst College (190 Prospect Avenue) were named Health Care Champions for Advancements in Health Care by The Business Ledger, while Lana Millsap, Director of Community Services, Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare (200 Berteau Avenue) was recognized among Allied Health Professionals.
The Morton Arboretum (4100 Illinois Route 53, Lisle) has received grants of $100,00 from Tellabs Foundation (Naperville) to support a Visitor Station and Schulenberg Prairie access trai, $100,000 from Grace Bersted Foundation (Chicago) to develop the Community Trees Initiative and $17,850 from the Stanley Smith Horticultural Trust (San Francisco) for updating and reprinting sections of the Tree and Shrub Handbook. The Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice Foundation (Skokie) also made a major gift to advance a tree breeding program.

The Odeum (1033 Villa Avenue, Villa Park) will be the new site of the 16th Annual Kenny Productions Antique Show on October 26-27. The 130,000-square-foot facility can easily accommodate the show’s 200 displays and exhibits.
“Tee Off for Toche” Golf Outing
The Chamber’s 54th Annual Golf Outing, “Tee Off for Toche,” will be held at Oak Meadows Golf Course, 900 North Wood Dale Road, Addison, on Tuesday, July 23. Registration is at 11:30 a.m., lunch (Wisconsin bratwurst or beef burger) is at 12:00 noon, shotgun scramble golf is at 1:00 p.m., the 19th hole social hour is at 6:00 p.m. and dinner (filet mignon and chicken Mediterranean) is at 7:00 p.m. Costs are $1,100.00 for a Corporate Sponsorship (includes foursome and exclusive hole sponsorship), $175.00 for a golf and dinner member, $125.00 for a golf-only associate and $50.00 for a dinner-only patron. Tee and green sponsorships are available for $300.00 (exclusive) to $250.00.
