Business After Hours
Edward Jones Investments/Jason Janes (115 West Vallette Street) and members of the Prairie Shopping Center will host the Chamber’s Business After Hours on Thursday, February 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Business Luncheon Specials
The Chamber is co-sponsoring the following two business luncheons in February:

Carrie Hightman, President of SBC Illinois, will speak at a joint Chamber/Kiwanis Club of Elmhurst luncheon at Angelo’s Ristorante, 247 North York Street, on Tuesday, February 3, from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m.  The cost is $20.00 per Chamber member and $25.00 for non-members.

Carl Tannenbaum, Chief Financial Officer for LaSalle Bank, will speak on “A Score of Economic Lessons” to members of six Chambers at Oak Brook Hills Resort, 3500 Midwest Road, Oak Brook, on Friday, February 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Co-sponsoring with Elmhurst are the Downers Grove, Lisle, Lombard, Westmont and Woodridge chambers of commerce.

Elmhurst Jaycees DSA

Cathy Bajkowski, Financial Professional with The MONY Group (700 Commerce Drive, Suite 430, Oak Brook) and Past Chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, is ranked among the Top-50 Producers for Unicare in the Midwest by Wellpont Health Networks, Unicare’s parent company.  Only two-tenths of one percent of some 26,000 licensed agents in five states are so honored.

Community Bank of Elmhurst (330 West Butterfield Road) has appointed Joe Weigel as Senior Vice President for Commercial Lending.  Weigel, a 17-year Elmhurst resident, has 20 years of experience in commercial lending.

Russell Wilson has been admitted as a Partner in Porte Brown LLC (845 Oakton Street, Elk Grove Village).  Wilson, an Elmhurst College graduate with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, joined Porte Brown in 1992 as a Staff Accountant.
