NOVEMBER IS ELMHURST CHAMBER’S MONTH
TO PROMOTE HEALTH CARE, PET CARE

ELMHURST, Ill., October 30, 2003 – As part of a new program of monthly member promotions, the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry is encouraging residents, businesspeople, visitors and tourists to patronize our 50-some member businesses in the health care and pet care industries in November.

The Chamber’s monthly promotion coincides with Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare Board of Governor’s 53rd Annual Fall Benefit Dinner at Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace on November 12.

“The residents of Elmhurst are blessed to have the finest in health care practitioners providing cutting-edge services at state-of-the-art facilities available right in their own backyard,” said John R. Quigley, President of the Elmhurst Chamber.  “Few communities our size boast a first-class hospital, health center, medical clinic and more.”

Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare operates Elmhurst Memorial Hospital (200 Berteau Avenue) just east of downtown Elmhurst, Elmhurst Memorial Center for Health (1200 South York Street) at the south end of the city and the Elmhurst Clinic (172 Schiller Street) in Elmhurst’s City Centre.

Founded in 1926, Elmhurst Memorial Hospital was the first hospital in DuPage County.  The Elmhurst Clinic opened in 1954.  The Center for Health was built in 1997.
