GreenMan Theatre has cast their upcoming 2015 murder mystery. This production, written and directed by Carolyn Thomas-Davidoff, parodies the classic TV family The Brady Bunch as one member of the Brady family witnesses a capital crime and the entire family has to enter the Witness Protection Program; the Brady Bunch becomes the Grady Group. Set in the early 1980s, the Grady family is not content to remain hidden for long as they get booked on a TV competition show in hopes of performing against the Partridge family. Unfortunately, they square off against a very different type of family, as in one with connections to the mob. Singing, dancing, improvisation, comedy, mystery, audience interaction, and at least one murder will occur during A Very Grady Murder.

GreenMan Theatre produces a different murder mystery dinner theatre event as their major fundraiser every year. The production will be held in the banquet hall at Angelo’s Ristorante at 247 N. York Street in Elmhurst. Patrons can enjoy the festivities as well as supporting local theatrical arts. Tickets are now on sale. Advance paid reservations are required for this production. The show unfolds in the center of the banquet hall, and the patrons who reserve tickets early will get seated at a table closest to the action. Tickets are $50 each, and the fee includes the show as well as a full course Italian style meal, including dessert. Groups are more than welcome to attend and are encouraged to register together to ensure they are seated at the same table. Each table seats ten people. Tickets can be reserved online at www.greenmantheatre.org. For additional ticket information, you may contact the box office at 630-464-2646. Free parking is available.

80s or Bradys: GreenMan Theatre encourages patrons to get into the spirit of the show by dressing in the style of the theme of the evening, so audience members can dress up like their favorite Brady Bunch character or put together a totally awesome and radical outfit straight out of the 1980s. Prizes are awarded after each performance: one for the most creative costume and one name from the patrons who correctly guessed the culprit of the murder mystery is drawn.
