Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker on December 12 signed a new Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamation extending his statewide declaration through January 9, 2021, and signed Executive Order 2020-74 to extend Restore Illinois Tier 3 enhanced mitigations, in response to an increase in Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic cases.
Region 8 (DuPage County) and all other regions in Illinois are currently under Tier 3 enhanced mitigations, which impact restaurants and bars, health and fitness centers, hotels, indoor and outdoor recreation, theaters and cultural institutions, manufacturing, meetings, social events and gatherings, personal care services and retail businesses. The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) in a press release announced its daily test data is available online. Preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total tests for December 4-10 is at 9.4 percent, while the preliminary seven-day statewide positivity rate is at11.1 percent.
