FAMILY IS AT THE HUB OF ELMHURST CHAMBER STEAK FRY
ELMHURST, Ill., August 26, 2005 – Members of the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry and their families will enjoy all the Elmhurst Park District recreational amenities of The Hub at Berens Park at the Chamber’s annual Steak Fry, held in conjunction Chamber of Commerce Week in Elmhurst from September 12-18.
The Chamber’s 2005 Family Steak Fry will be held at The Hub at Berens Park, 493 Oaklawn Avenue, on Wednesday, September 21, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. September 21 also marks the last day of summer.
Steak Fry attendees will have free use of some of The Hub’s amenities, including an 18-hole miniature golf course, batting cages and sprayground, as well as the Lee A. Daniels Pavilion. Attendance is limited to 80 adults and 25 children or grandchildren.
“This is the perfect way for our members to enjoy a fun-filled family event,” said Chamber President John Quigley, “while celebrating Chamber of Commerce Week.”
The cost is $15.00 per adult, with children/grandchildren free with a paid adult.

Adults will dine on a hand-cut strip steak dinner with all the fixings from The Silverado Grill (447 Spring Road) in Elmhurst, while children will chomp down on hot dogs and potato chips. Refreshments include beer and wine for adults, plus soft drinks.
Established in 1918, the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry is a voluntary organization of business and professional men and women who have joined together to promote the civic and commercial progress of the community.
The Chamber also serves the needs of its members through services, programs and events that provide opportunities for networking and referral, business education, development and promotion, governmental representation and community involvement.
