EXPO SEMINAR EDUCATES BUSINESS ON HEALTHCARE’S IMPACT

 

            ELMHURST, Ill., September 27, 2010 – The Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry will feature a Business Education Seminar on the impact of healthcare reform at “A Passport To Success” Business-to-Business Expo at the Diplomat West Banquet Halls, 681 West North Avenue, Elmhurst, on Wednesday, October 20.

The Expo is sponsored jointly by the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Villa Park Chamber of Commerce, Addison Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Bensenville Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Starting at 1:00 p.m., the 60-minute Business Education Seminar will feature representatives from The David Agency Insurance (385 North York Street) and Neiburger Law (747 North Church Street, B4B) presenting on “Healthcare’s Impact on Business:  United States Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.”

Dave Meilahn, President and CEO of The David Agency, will moderate the Business Education Seminar.  An insurance agent since 1972, he specializes in commercial property and casualty, medical professional liability and program business.

Dave Enk, Account Executive at The David Agency, will present a summary on the healthcare reform and the effect it will have on healthcare premiums/rates.  He manages the agency’s Life and Health Department, providing education and consultation to employers of all sizes and their employees.

Ben Neiburger, Founder and Lead Attorney at Neiburger Law, will present on the “Tax Consequences of Health Care Reform.”  His resume includes work on the negotiation, design, implementation and operation of benefit and compensation arrangements for clients and their employees, and he has represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service and United States Department of Labor.

Exhibiting will begin at 2:00 p.m. and run to 6:00 p.m., with a Business After Hours running from 4:00 p.m. to close. 

Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided at the Business Education Seminar and during the Business After Hours.  A cash bar will be available for alcoholic beverages.

Admission to the 2010 Business-To-Business Expo is free to members of the Elmhurst, Villa Park, Addison and Bensenville Chambers, their guests and other businesspeople only upon presentation of the complimentary ticket or a business card.
