ELMHURST, Ill., October 7, 2009 – Members of the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry will share their marketing expertise during business education seminars at “A Passport To Success” Business-to-Business Expo at the Diplomat West Banquet Halls, 681 West North Avenue, Elmhurst, on Wednesday, October 21.
The Expo is sponsored jointly by the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Villa Park Chamber of Commerce, Addison Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Bensenville Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Rather than presenting a single Keynote Speaker as in past years, the Expo will feature 45-minute seminars dealing with three aspects of marketing—social media, networking and green initiatives—each presented by expert Elmhurst Chamber members.
Jennifer Speaker, President and Owner of CompUcoach (188 Industrial Drive, Suite 214) and Chicago Avon Lady Representative, will present “Secrets to Social Marketing” at 3 p.m. Speaker also is a member of the Elmhurst Chamber’s Board of Directors, and serves on both the Marketing Committee and Expo Subcommittee.
Penny Vickas, Owner of AnyTime Baskets (350 Essex Court, Wood Dale), and Luisa Buehler, President and Owner of The Hire Solution Employment Corporation (17W662 Butterfield Road, Suite 301B, Oakbrook Terrace), will team up to present “Tips for Effective Networking” at 4 p.m. Vikas serves on the Expo Subcommittee and Buehler is a former Elmhurst Chamber Director.
Helen Levinson, President, Technical Director and Co-Owner of Desert Rose Design (257 North West Avenue, Suite 206), will present “Seeing Green from Green Marketing” at 5 p.m. Levinson, who was named Norwood Park Chamber of Commerce’s Person of the Year in 2007, serves on the Expo Subcommittee.
“These seminars are an extension of our Brown Bag Lunch & Learn programs, where our members share their expertise with fellow members,” said John R. Quigley, President and CEO of the Elmhurst Chamber since 1999.
Admission to the 2009 Business-To-Business Expo is free to members of the Elmhurst, Villa Park, Addison and Bensenville Chambers, their guests and other businesspeople only upon presentation of the complimentary ticket or a business card.
For the second year in a row, Event Sponsors included Harris Bank (1121 South York Street), AT&T (225 West Wesley Street, Wheaton), Suburban Bank & Trust (150 Butterfield Road) and York Theatre/Classic Cinemas (150 North York Street).
In addition, The Business Ledger (1260, Iroquois Avenue, Suite 200, Naperville) returns as a Media Sponsor and Sign-A-Rama (17W623 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace) joins as a Signage Sponsor.
