Everyone is invited to attend a program of romance, humor and beautiful music celebrating the 200th anniversary of the printing of the novel, “Sense and Sensibility,” featuring composers loved by its author, Jane Austen, who played the piano daily.  Compositions of Beethoven, Handel, Schubert, Clementi, Storace, Dibdin and Mozart, among others, will be sung and played by soprano and violinist Josefien Stoppelenburg, complemented by ESO Music Director Stephen Alltop’s historical narrative and piano accompaniment.  The recital takes place on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 1:30 pm at Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church, 149 Brush Hill Rd. in Elmhurst.  Following the recital, guests will enjoy tea, sandwiches, and dessert by Café Amano in the Garden Room of the church.  Tickets are $35 per person; please reserve no later than March 1.  Call the ESO Box Office at 630-941-0202 for information and tickets.
