Nothing will brighten a late-winter evening like the scintillating rhythms and brilliant melodies of vibrant Latin musical gems!  You will want to be in the house on Saturday, March 11, at 7:00 p.m. when guitarist Colin Davin and the Elmhurst Dance Theatre of the DuPage Dance Academy join the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra in an evening of toe-tapping Latin melodies.

Davin’s expressive musical talents will be on display in his performance of Joaquín Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez, and he will be joined by community guitar aficionados in an exciting group rendition of Malagueña.  The exceptional Elmhurst Dance Theatre of the DuPage Dance Academy will bring George Gershwin’s Cuban Overture to life; music by Arturo Márquez, Heitor Villa-Lobos and Darius Milhaud round out this memorable concert, under the baton of the ESO’s Music Director and Conductor, Stephen Alltop.

Generous sponsors of the concert are the Ray and Sally Allen Charities and Carl Amrhein, sponsor of Cuban Overture.

Throughout the evening concertgoers will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of exciting silent auction items, including event tickets, hotel stays, consulting certificates, and restaurant gift cards, among others. Proceeds benefit the programs of the Symphony.
