ELMHURST, Ill., September 5, 2003 – As part of Chamber of Commerce Week in Elmhurst (September 14-20), members of the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry and their employees are eligible to sign up for an exclusive joint membership to both the Elmhurst Park District’s Courts Plus and the Elmhurst Family YMCA.

Enrollment in Premier Membership Program is only available by appointment during designated two-week periods—with the second enrollment opportunity beginning with Chamber’s Membership Breakfast on Thursday, September 11, and running through the Chamber Business After Hours on Wednesday, September 24.  The initial enrollment period was held July 10-24.

“Under the Chamber’s auspices, the Park District and YMCA have teamed up to provide a unique opportunity for health, fitness and recreation for all of our members and their families,” said Chamber President John Quigley.

The Premier Membership is a unique partnership that offers employees of Chamber members and their families the benefits of membership at both Courts Plus and the YMCA for a single monthly payment.  One of the participants in a Family Premier Membership must present proof that he/she is employed by a Chamber member.
Informational brochures outlining the cost and benefits of participating in this family fitness program are available from the Park District, YMCA and Chamber.

To schedule an enrollment appointment or for additional information, please contact Jodi Wederath at Courts Plus at 993-4723 or Chelle O’Connell at the Elmhurst YMCA at 834-9200.

The Chamber’s Membership Breakfast will be hosted by Ivan Valcarenghi, DDS, Cosmetic Dentistry, 127 West Vallette Street, on September 11 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., while Elm Brook Healthcare, 127 West Diversey Avenue, will host the Business After Hours on September 24 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
