A recently-elected Nominating Committee slate of four candidates officially began three-year terms as members of the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board of Directors at the Board’s November 14 meeting at Community Bank of Elmhurst (330 West Butterfield Road).
As sworn in by Outgoing Board Chair Rita Borzym of Edward Jones Investments, new Directors with first terms expiring in November of 2026 were as follows:
Christina Danno, Associate Director of Career Experiences at Elmhurst University;
Doug Davies, President of Elmhurst-based Delta RMS; and
Andrew Winton, Business Development Manager at Guaranteed Rate – John Noldan in downtown Elmhurst.
Also elected to a first term was incumbent Director Angela Villegas, Vice President and Branch Manager at Lakeside Bank in downtown Elmhurst, who was appointed to fill a Board vacancy in 2022.
“Our Chamber is blessed to have well qualified individuals willing to serve on the Board of Directors, including one of whom is continuing with her term of service,” said John R. Quigley, Chamber President and CEO since 1999.
Villegas served on the Board’s 2023 Executive Committee as Second Vice Chair and Chair of the Marketing Committee, and will serve on the 2024 Executive Committee as First Vice Chair and Chair of the Membership Committee.
Danno, Davies and Winton will serve of the Board’s Ways and Means, Membership and Marketing committees, respectively, in 2024.
The newly-elected Directors were slated by a five-person Nominating Committee of non-Board members. This year’s slate ran uncontested, with no Chamber member filing the required petition to run for election.
The Board is comprised of 15 elected Directors serving three-year terms, plus three Ex-Officio Directors and an annually-appointed Treasurer. Elected Directors are limited
to serving two consecutive terms, not counting years as an appointee filling a vacancy or as a post-term Past Chairperson.
