Special Events
The Chamber, Spring Road Business Association and York/Vallette Business Association will sponsor Sleigh Rides along the Illinois Prairie Path on Saturday, December 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.  Sleigh Rides will run from the Gazebo at Spring Road and The Depot at York/Vallette.

The Doings Newspapers (440 East Ogden Avenue, Hinsdale) and Gift of Hope Organ and Donor Tissue Network (660 Industrial Drive) have embarked on a year-long campaign to increase awareness of the need for donors.  Newspapers stories are featured on the Gift of Hope website at www.giftofhope.org.

Pet Celebrations, Inc. (1812 Taft Avenue, Berkeley) is offering free pet pictures with Santa on Saturday, December 14, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 15, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.

“State of the City” Mayoral Address
Elmhurst Mayor Thomas D. Marcucci will deliver his annual “State of the City” Address at the Chamber’s Membership Breakfast host by Community Bank of Elmhurst (330 West Butterfield Road) on Thursday, January 16, from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m.  Co-sponsored by the Elmhurst Economic Development Corporation (209 North York Street), the event will be videotaped by “Elmhurst Our Kind of Town” for rebroadcast in February on Channel 6 of AT&T Broadband (688 Industrial Drive).  Seating is limited to 150 and reservations are required.
