Classic Cinemas’ annual “Predict the Oscars” contest is back for the 2014 award season. The nominees were announced early today, Jan. 16, and it’s time to pick your favorites to win.

On March 2, comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres will host the iconic Oscars ceremony, and thousands of Classic Cinemas ballots will reveal who predicted the correct winners. Movie lovers have until March 1 to enter the contest.

The Grand Prize Winner will receive free movies for two for an entire year at any Classic Cinemas theater location, along with a gift card valued at $200, good at any of the 20 Chicago area Francesca’s Restaurants.

Entrants choose from among the nominees in the categories of Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Animated Film. Each of the 13 Classic Cinemas locations will select one correct ballot for entry in the Grand Prize drawing.

The remaining 12 second-place winners each will receive a movie pass for one for the entire year. Additionally, every correct entry will receive a pair of tickets to the Brookfield Zoo and a pair of movie passes to any Classic Cinemas location. Winning ballots will be drawn March 3, to be announced later that week.

Patrons can complete and deposit their ballots in the lobby of any of the 13 Classic Cinemas theaters starting Jan. 24, and continuing through the end of business March 1. Entrants must be at least 16 years old, and only one entry per day is allowed. Contest rules are on the back of ballots and posted in the theater lobbies.

The “Predict The Oscars” contest is co-sponsored by Brookfield Zoo and Francesca’s Restaurants.
