“What an honor!” stated Speaker. “It means a lot to me to be acknowledged in such a significant way.”
A first-term Director (elected in 2008) and second-year member of the Executive Committee, Speaker served as the Chamber’s consultant and liaison for redevelopment of the website and transition to an online database management system.
Speaker was elected First Vice Chair and Chair of the Marketing Committee for 2011 and served as Second Vice Chair and Chair of the Membership Committee in 2010. She also has served on the Business-to-Business Expo Subcommittee for three years.
Speaker is the President of SMB Advantage Group (188 Industrial Drive, Suite 214), a small business consulting firm, formerly known as CompUcoach, that she founded in 1999. She also is an active member of the Chicago Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NABWO).

A former resident of Elmhurst, Speaker now resides in Villa Park.
Traditionally, the annual award is given to a member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors for his/her outstanding service to the Board, Chairman and President/CEO, or to a non-Director for praiseworthy contributions or performance.
Outgoing Chairman of the ECCI Board Scott Levin of Howard & Howard (200 South Michigan Avenue, Suite 1100, Chicago) will present the award to Speaker.
“Jennifer is most deserving of this recognition for all she did as a volunteer during my year as Board Chair,” stated Levin.
