Today, we officially welcome Grace Bagnole of Aurora to our Chamber staff as the new Director of Member Services—a position vacant since Mariella Mastromauro resignation last October 31 to take a membership retention position with the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.
While Elmhurst’s Memorial Day Parade was cancelled for a second straight year due to Restore Illinois Bridge Phase Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic restrictions, a Second Annual “Always Remember” Convoy took place on May 31, followed by the traditional in-person Military Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial in Wilder Park. The April 6 Consolidated Elections will determine the City of Elmhurst’s new mayor and who will represent our municipality on the Elmhurst City Council, as City Treasurer and as City Clerk, along with various school board, park district board and library board seats.
The Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been recognized by the United States Census Bureau as an “invaluable” member of the 2020 Census Community Partnership and Engagement Program for our Chamber’s support of the City of Elmhurst Complete Count Committee’s Everyone Counts, Elmhurst! campaign.
Although state-mandated Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic restrictions prohibited members and guests from gathering on January 29 as originally planned to celebrate the 102nd Annual ECCI Awards Gala, our Chamber hopes to properly fete our 2020 business and individual honorees in person by mid-2021 at the latest.
