Despite a prolonged global pandemic, workNet DuPage, the County’s workforce center-–funded by the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)-–provided exceptional services and value to DuPage County residents, as detailed in its first fully digital Year in Review: A Recovery for All.
As today’s Annual “State of Our City” Mayoral Address Membership Breakfast has been postponed until March 17 (yes, St. Patrick’s Day) due to concerns over the ongoing spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its related variants, I still want to take this opportunity to share my annual address on the State of Our Chamber with you.
The City of Elmhurst, in partnership with the Center for Governmental Studies at Northern Illinois University, is undertaking strategic planning to identify the long-term vision, including but not limited to goals and resource needs during the next five to 10 years.
“The state of American business is competitive,” said United States Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Suzanne Clark in her State of American Business address on January 11. “Businesses are not simply competing to win today, but to build a better tomorrow … to propel our country and world toward a brighter future of growth, solutions, and opportunity.”
