Jimmy John Liautaud (far right), Founder of Jimmy John's Gourmet Sanwiches, speaks to some 120 Elmhurst businesspeople–including Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry President and CEO John R. Quigley (left of speaker)–at a June 6 luncheon sponsored by and hosted at Community Bank of Elmhurst, which is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in business. Jimmy John appeared as a personal favor of CBE Chairman of the Board William C. "Bill" Gooch Jr. Also in attendance is new Elmhurst Mayor Steve Morley.
City Hall Swimming Pool
A broken water main (not continued rain) is responsible for the flooding of Elmhurst City Hall's parking lot early on Tuesday (June 25) morning. A crew from the City's Deprtament of Public Works drained the water, washed down the parking lot and repaired the water pipe before day's end.
