MUSIC AT BETHEL BRINGS CHICAGO’S HOTTEST BIG BAND JAZZ GROUP TO BETHEL UCC
ELMHURST, ILL., (Feb. 20, 2013) –Heisenberg Uncertainty Players will grace the stage of Bethel United Church of Christ in Elmhurst on Sunday, March 10, at 3:00 with its original big band and swing music.
The 19-piece big band features the finest writing and performing talent Chicago has to offer, playing only original compositions and arrangements by the members of the group.
Formed in 2011, the band has been featured in some of the best music venues in Chicago, such as Martyrs’ and Fitzgerald’s Nightclub. Most recently, Heisenberg Uncertainty Players were honored with a monthly residency in Bucktown’s Gallery Cabaret, where they play the first Monday of every month. The band recently performed selections from their new album, “Emergency Postcards,” on WGN Midday News.
“We are thrilled to be able to bring Heisenberg Uncertainty Players to Bethel UCC,” said Jeff Panko, Minister of Music and Artistic Director of Music at Bethel. “We strive hard to always bring unique musical gems to our concert series for the enjoyment of our audiences.”
The Music at Bethel concert series wraps up its fourteenth season on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. with a special piano concert by Mr. Panko, who for fourteen years has been producing and performing in classical, jazz and world-music events for Music at Bethel. The intimate setting has played host to some of the world’s most accomplished singers and classical and jazz musicians from the Chicago area.
