Rosalia’s Deli Grand Opening to Benefit Elmhurst YMCA

Profits from the Grand Opening of Rosalia’s Deli at 241 North York Street in Elmhurst (part of Angelo’s Ristorante) on Tuesday, May 3, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. will benefit the Elmhurst YMCA’s Strong Kids Scholarship Program.

Rosalia’s Deli has the perfect complete meal for lunch or dinner. The Deli has the finest Italian cold cuts including choices which are low sodium, gluten free, and have no additives–made the same way they were 100 years ago. They also have pizzas made in their wood burning oven, home made fresh salads, sauces, and delicious desserts.

Josh Battaglia, Owner of Angelo’s Ristorante, came up with the idea for Rosalia’s, because his family owned a deli in Sicily, and there wasn’t an Italian deli in Elmhurst.  Angelo’s Ristorante is named for his father and Rosalia’s is named for his mother.  His children are carrying on the family tradition of serving up delicious Italian meals.

When the family was discussing the Grand Opening, Di, Josh’s wife, wanted to donate the profits to a local charity, and the Elmhurst YMCA’s Strong Kids Scholarship Program was selected.

The Elmhurst YMCA, a non-profit organization, strives to provide programs and services to residents in surrounding communities regardless of their ability to pay. Donations made to the Elmhurst YMCA help provide financial assistance year-round, so that kids, adults, and families can be part of the YMCA family. Your purchase at Rosalia’s will help the Elmhurst YMCA to provide scholarships to those facing financial difficulty and to underwrite programs such as childcare and day camp.
