FED ECONOMIST IS KEYNOTE AT MULTI-CHAMBER LUNCHEON

 

            ELMHURST, Ill, February 7, 2011 – Noted economic expert William A. Strauss of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago will be the Keynote Speaker for the Ninth Annual Multi-Chamber Economic Forecast Luncheon, co-sponsored by the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry, at the Ashton Place, 341 75th Street, Willowbrook, on Tuesday, February 22, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

            “This luncheon provides our members with an opportunity to hear an insider’s take on the economy and network with members from a half-dozen chambers from neighboring communities,” said John Quigley, Elmhurst Chamber President and CEO.

            Sponsoring chambers of commerce include the Clarendon Hills, Darien, Downers Grove, Hinsdale, Lisle, Westmont and Woodridge. 

            Williams Strauss is a Senior Economist and Economic Advisor in the Economic Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, which he joined in 1982. 

Making his fourth appearance at this multi-chamber event, Strauss follows in the footsteps of his contemporary in the field of business economics, Carl Tannenbaum, who keynoted the first five luncheons.

            Registration, vendor exhibiting and networking begins at 11 a.m., with the lunch service starting at 11:55 a.m.

            Lunch cost is $30.00 per person for members of the sponsoring chambers.

Non-member cost is $35.00 per person.
