CHAMBER BUSINESSES WELCOME NEW TEACHERS
ELMHURST, Ill., July 22, 2002 – Members of the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry will treat more than 50 teachers who are new to Elmhurst’s public and private schools to lunch in last August as part of their orientation welcome.
The Chamber’s 12th Annual New Teachers Luncheon will be held at the Diplomat West Banquet Halls, 681 West North Avenue, Elmhurst, on Thursday, August 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
“This is a truly unique and special event that demonstrates a commitment by our member businesses to provide a quality experience for the new teachers who will educate the youth throughout our community,” said John Quigley, President of the Chamber.
The cost for lunch is $25.00 per person, with Chamber members paying an additional $25.00 to sponsor a new teacher. For reservations, call (630) 834-6060 or e-mail the Chamber at info@elmhurstchamber.org by Friday, August 16, at 5:00 p.m.
Sponsors and teachers talk one-on-on during the lunch hour so that sponsors can introduce their respective teacher to the rest of the audience.
Also, each teacher will receive goodie bags containing promotional products and materials donated by as many as 50 Chamber businesses. Interested donors should call Barb Savage, Executive Assistant, at the Chamber office.
