New Teachers Luncheon
The Chamber will host its 12th Annual New Teachers Luncheon at the Diplomat West Banquet Halls, 681 West North Avenue, on Thursday, August 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Cost is $25.00 per person and members can sponsor a new teacher for an additional $25.00.

The Board of Trustees at Elmhurst College (190 Prospect Avenue) has elected Cleveland businessman Tom Tyrrell (Class of 1967) to succeed Elmhurst resident Joel Herter (Class of 1959), at Wolf & Company LLP (2100 Clearwater Drive, Oak Brook), as Chairman.

Steak Fry
The Chamber will host its annual Family Steak Fry at the Holiday Inn Elmhurst’s Holidome, 624 North York Street, on Tuesday, August 20, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Families can enjoy the indoor pool, basketball court and more. Cost is $15.00 per person for a steak dinner from The Silverado Grill (447 Spring Road) and non-alcoholic beverages. Hot dog dinners for children are free. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
