Newsmakers
Colm Headley has purchased full ownership of McNally’s Traditional Irish Pub (122 South York Street) after successfully operating McNally’s in St. Charles. On November 29, the menu will be expanded to include non-Irish favorites for wider audience appeal. Live music is booked every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.

Offerings at the Elmhurst Ministerial Association’s Non-Denominational Thanksgiving Service at Elmhurst College’s Hammerschmidt Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, November 27, at 7:00 p.m., will benefit the Rotary Club of Elmhurst (P.O. Box 147) Polio Eradication Campaign.
Elmhurst City Centre will host its Annual Tree Lighting in City Centre Plaza on Friday, November 29, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Santa will be in residence at his cozy cottage at Pfund & Clint Florists (123 North York Street) following the ceremonies.
Pet Celebrations, Inc. (1812 Taft Avenue, Berkeley) is offering free pet pictures with Santa on Friday, November 29, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 1, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.

The Elmhurst Park District will host an Old Fashioned Tree Lighting in Wilder Park on Thursday, December 5, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Guild will conduct its 26th Annual Reindeer Route House Walk on Friday, December 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Carousel Flowers (527 South York Street), Pfund & Clint Florists (123 North York Street) and Phillip’s Flowers and Gifts (526 Spring Road) will have floral displays in three of the six homes.
