Chamber Anniversaries

Holiday Inn Express (933 South Route 83) will host the Chamber’s Business After Hours on Wednesday, July 2, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in celebration of Elmfest 2003.

Elmhurst Park District (225 Prospect Avenue) will host the Chamber’s Membership Breakfast on Thursday, July 11, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.

Newsmakers
Frank and Debra Catalano of Catalano Mortgage Group of First Home Mortgage (112 South York Street) received the 2003 Superstar Supporter Award at the Northeast DuPage Special Recreation Association’s “Reach For The Stars Night” in Lombard on June 4 for their support of NEDSRA’s Annual Holiday Party with Santa and the Kiwanis Club of Elmhurst-sponsored Pig Roast to benefit the wheelchair basketball program.

Mayor for a Day
Carly Hamilton (Visitation) and Nicky Wheeler (Edison) were named Elmhurst’s Mayor and Deputy Mayor in the Chamber-sponsored Mayor for a Day Essay Contest.  Announced during the Opening Ceremonies at Elmhurst, the winners wrote on “Elmhurst is the greatest city in the world because…”

Tee Off for Toche
The Chamber will run its “Tee Off for Toche” 55th Annual Golf Outing at Oak Meadows Golf Course in Addison on Tuesday, July 22, starting with registration at 11:30 a.m.  The outing is named in memory of former Chamber President A.J. “Toche” Terrones, who passed away in June of 1999 the day before the event.  Call the Chamber office at 834-6060 for registration info.
