ELMHURST, Ill., August 22, 2003 – In celebration of Chamber of Commerce Week (September 14-20), the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry will offer either a 16-month membership (through 2004) at the annual rate or a 20 percent discount on a year’s dues for businesses joining from September 11-24.

The new member promotion starts with the Membership Breakfast hosted by Ivan Valcarenghi, DDS, 127 West Vallette Street, on Thursday, September 11, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. and ends with the Business After Hours hosted by Elm Brook Healthcare, 127 West Diversey Avenue, on Wednesday, September 24, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

New members and their sponsors will be eligible to win $50.00 gift certificates, respectively, for dinner at a Chamber member restaurant of their choice.  Both winners will be drawn at the Business After Hours at Elm Brook.

Chamber membership starts at only $205.00 per year for businesses with five employees or less—only about 56 cents per day.

Membership benefits include free listings in the annual Elmhurst Community Directory (alphabetical and by category/subcategory), on the Chamber’s internet site (www.elmhurstchamber.org) and in Elmhurst Press newspaper columns (News & Notes).

The Chamber also serves the needs of its members through services, programs and events that provide opportunities for networking and referral, business education, development and promotion, governmental representation and community involvement.
