Anniversary Celebrations
Raggedy Anne Learning Center (232 South York Street) will celebrate its 35th Anniversary with free scoops of ice cream on Sunday, August 28, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Brown Bag Lunch Workshop
Professional personal coaches Elene Cafaso of Enerpace (240 North Addison Avenue), Jean Bruno of Jean Bruno Consulting & Coaching (259 South York Street) and Michelle Knight of MMK Enterprises (1539 South Ardmore Avenue, Suite C, Villa Park) will conduct a Brown Bag Lunch Workshop, titled “Improve Your Business in 12 Minutes or Less!,” at the Chamber conference room (113 Adell Place) on Wednesday, September 14, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.
Business After Hours
Elmhurst will participate in a multi-chamber Business After Hours hosted by The Morton Arboretum (4100 Illinois Route 53, Lisle) on Thursday, September 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. L’Athar Mediterranean Cuisine (149 North Addison Avenue) and Cafй Amano (105 South York Street, Suite 100) will be among the caterers donating food and beverages.
Family Steak Fry
The Chamber’s annual Family Steak Fry will be held at The Hub at Beren’s Park (493 Oaklawn Avenue) on Wednesday, September 21, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The event will include use of the 18-hole miniature golf course, batting cages and Lee A. Daniels Pavilion. Cost is $15.00 per adult for a steak dinner (or chicken) and all the fixings from The Silverado Grill (447 Spring Road). Children and grandchildren will eat complimentary hot dogs.
Lucky Strike Re-Naming Contest
Lucky Strike (119 North York Street), one of a trio of Chicago-based Spare Time Entertainment Group bowling alley restaurants, is part of a 10th Anniversary Re-Naming Contest open to the public to suggest names and to vote for a winner, who will be announced at the Lincoln Park location (2747 North Lincoln Avenue, Chicago) on Friday, August 26, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Visit www.sparetimechicago.com for more info or to vote.
