ELMHURST IS AMONG CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE
AT MORTON ARBORETUM’S AFTER HOURS EVENT
ELMHURST, Ill., August 26, 2005 – The Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce will be among eight local chambers participating in The Morton Arboretum’s Annual Multi-Chamber After Hours Event in Lisle on Thursday, September 15, which coincides with Chamber of Commerce Week in both Illinois (9/12-16) and Elmhurst (9/12-18).
“This is a great opportunity for our members to network with businesspeople from neighboring communities who understand the importance of their Chamber relationship,” said John Quigley, President of the Elmhurst Chamber since 1999.
Attendees also will have a chance to win a free rental facility to host a private party, conference, reception, corporate event or retreat for up to 100 people.
The networking event, which runs from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., will feature complimentary food and beverages catered by members of the participating chambers. The food will include hors’ devours, entrees and desserts.
L’Athar Mediterranean Cuisine (149 North Addison Avenue) and Cafй Amano (105 South York Street, Suite 100) will represent the Elmhurst Chamber.
Also catering will be Cabernet & Co., Chef by Request, Classic Fare Catering, Connie’s Pizza, My Chef Catering, Qdoba Mexican Grill, Sam’s Wine and Spirits, Texan BBQ, True Cuisine and Wine Expressions.
Located at 4100 Illinois Route 53 in Lisle, The Morton Arboretum features a Visitor Center, Arbor Court, Maze Garden and new Children’s Garden, which has its Grand Opening celebration from September 10-18.
Established in 1918, the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry is a voluntary organization of business and professional men and women who have joined together to promote the civic and commercial progress of the community.
The Chamber also serves the needs of its members through services, programs and events that provide opportunities for networking and referral, business education, development and promotion, governmental representation and community involvement.
