Elmhurst Chamber News & Notes

Gone, But Not Forgotten
Ted J. Dulles (Doulas), Owner of Dulles Cleaners (128 North Addison Avenue) and a Chamber member since 1966 died on November 14 at the age of 72.  A 1950s immigrant from Greece, Dulles lived the American dream during his four decades plus in the dry cleaning and restaurant businesses, including ownership of the former Athenian Fireside Restaurant.  His patriotism was most visible during Elmhurst’s holiday parades, where he was a fixture on his red, white and blue float. Among his many honors was the Elmhurst Jaycees (P.O. Box 235) Distinguished Service Award in 1990 and Elmhurst College (190 Prospect Avenue) named him as an honorary alumnus.  His fellow masons from Elmhurst Masonic Lodge #941 honored him during the wake at Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary (435 North York Street).
