BizKids Best Ball Scramble
The Chamber, in partnership with the Elmhurst YMCA (211 West First Street), will host its Second Annual BizKids Best Ball Scramble at River Forest Country Club (15W468 Grand Avenue) on Monday, July 17, starting with registration at 11:30 a.m.  The Catalano Mortgage Team of American Home Mortgage (105 south York Street, Suite 200) is a major event sponsor.  The cost of $200.00 per person include 18 holes of carted golf on a premiere private course, lunch, dinner and more.  Call Suzanne Wolf at the YMCA at 929-2461 for more info.

Business After Hours
American Home Mortgage, Keller Williams Realty Results (112 South York Street), Edward Jones Investments/Jeff McGinnis (112-A South York Street, Suite 200) and La La Land (112 South York Street) will co-host the Chamber’s Business After Hours on Thursday, June 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. under a tent in the Fifth Third Bank (105 South York Street) parking lot.  The event is being catered by 100 South Chop House & Grill (100 South York Street), McNally’s Traditional Irish Pub (122 South York Street), Cafй Amano (105 South York Street, Suite 100) and Mitoodle Noodle (105 South York Street).

Newsmakers
Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 (130 West Madison Street) had named Dr. Lynn Krizic, Superintendent at Channahon District 17 since 2001, as its new Superintendent of Schools.  She holds a Doctorate in Educational Organization and Leadership, Master of Science in Speech and Hearing Science, and Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing, all from the University of Illinois.

Dr. Ivan Valcarenghi, DDS (127 West Vallette Street) will be a presenter at a seminar on facial cosmetic surgery and cosmetic dentistry in the Regnery Auditorium at Hinsdale Hospital on Thursday, June 15, at 7:00 p.m.  Pre-registration is required at 856-7525.

The Elmhurst Historical Museum (120 East Park Avenue) has named Leslie Goddard, formerly Curator of Education for the Evanston Historical Society and Community Outreach Coordinator for the Des Plaines History Center, as its new Community Programs Coordinator.

The Mock Trial Team at Timothy Christian High School (188 West Butterfield Road) defeated four state teams to place third in the National Tournament in May after winning its sixth state title in nine years in March.  Michigan and Iowa compiled more points.

Special Events
