Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry President and CEO John Quigley has been chosen by The Daily Herald Business Ledger as a 2018 C-Suite of the Year Awards honoree.
One of only 15 honorees, Quigley has served as ECCI President and CEO since 1999–the longest tenured chamber of commerce executive in DuPage County–and has been active in our Chamber since 1991 while serving as then-Associate Director of Communications at Elmhurst College, his Alma Mater, where coincidentally he worked for his current Board of Directors Chair Ken Bartels, who served EC back then as Vice President for College Advancement.
During Quigley’s unprecedented tenure, member advocacy at every level of government (municipal, township, county, state and federal) has become an integral component of our Chamber’s mission to promote”an environment that creates succes for local businesses and our community.”
As President and CEO, Quigley represents our Chamber on the Elmhurst Business Alliance and is also a member of the Elmhurst Economic Development Commission (ex-officio), Elmhurst City Centre Board of Directors (ex-officio), Explore Elmhurst Advisory Committee and Central Business District (CBD) Retail Grant Committee.
A member of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) and Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE), Quigley has contributed at seminars and conferences as a guest speaker and presenter, and he is active in the West Suburban Chamber of Commerce Executives peer group.
The Elmhurst Jaycees honored Quigley with their Distinguished Service Award (DSA) in 2012, and he received the Elmhurst YMCA’s Good Samaritan Aawrd in 2011 and Elmhurst College Bluejay Backers Community Service Award in 2002.
The awards will be presented at a Recognition Reception and Awards Presentation held at Northern Illinois University’s Naperville campus (1120 East Diehl Road) on Thursday, July 26. from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
