MAYOR TO DELIVER “STATE OF CITY” TO ELMHURST CHAMBER ON JANUARY 15
ELMHURST, Ill., November 26, 2007 – Elmhurst Mayor Thomas D. Marcucci will deliver his 2008 “State of the City” Mayoral Address at the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s Membership Breakfast hosted by Community Bank of Elmhurst, 330 West Butterfield Road, on Tuesday, January 15, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Sponsored jointly by the Chamber and Community Bank, the annual event is free to both members and employees of each of these sponsors.

“This is traditionally among the Chamber’s best attended Membership Breakfasts and I expect another full house this year,” said Chamber President John Quigley. “Our members appreciate the mayor’s interest in keeping them informed about the who, what, when, where and why of life in our community.”
In his Address, Marcucci will recap how Elmhurst has dealt with the state and local tax revenue shortfalls of the past year, discuss keys issues related to economic development and report on the city’s planning process for 2008 and the years beyond.
The program will be taped by “Elmhurst Our Kind of Town” for broadcast in February on Channel 6 of Comcast.
Established in 1918, the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry is a voluntary organization of business and professional men and women who have joined together for the purpose of promoting the civic and commercial progress of the community.
