Oil paintings being exhibited by Abbie Ansburg in a new, solo show visually edit what is real and add in the abstract as the paintings develop. Entitled “The Spaces in Between,” the show can be seen in the Elmhurst Artists’ Guild gallery at the Elmhurst Art Museum, 150 S. Cottage Hill Ave., Elmhurst, from August 4 through September 10.

An artist’s reception, free and open to the public, is scheduled for Friday, August 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the EAG gallery.

The Ansburg exhibit can be viewed during regular Museum hours, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm; Thursday and Friday from 11 am to 7 pm. The first Friday of each month is the Museum’s free admission day. At other times, admission for adults is $8 and for seniors $7. EAM members, students and children under 18 are admitted free.
