Booked for Business is a quarterly book program for Elmhurst’s local entrepreneurs, professionals, and business leaders featuring thoughtfully selected titles that explore leadership, growth, motivation, innovation, and the real-world challenges facing today’s professionals.

The book club is open to Elmhurst’s entire business community, not just Chamber members, and it was designed with busy schedules in mind. There are no regular meetings or formal commitments. Read or listen on your own time, in the format that works best for you.

Borrow & Read

Check out the book in print, audio, or digital format if available, and work through it at your own pace – No meetings or deadlines.

Bring It Back

Return the book and apply what you learned to your work, your organization, and our community. Then join us next quarter for a new title.

Owners of businesses and non-profit organizations in Elmhurst are eligible for EPL library cards, granting access to valuable resources, technology, and services. It’s an easy way to make the library part of your professional toolkit — right here in the community. Employees of local businesses that are not Elmhurst residents can use their home library cards at EPL and gain additional “Work Perks” privileges.

Are there in-person Booked for Business meetings?
Nope. There are no required meetings or formal commitments — you can participate on your own schedule. Just read, reflect, and apply what resonates with you in your work and business journey. Or, feel free to gather a group of your own to discuss the chapters as you see fit.
How can I get more involved?

This isn’t your typical book club, so here’s how to stay connected: share your thoughts as you read, post on social media, and tag @ElmhurstChamber or use #BookedForBusiness on Instagram. It’s a great way to connect with fellow readers, even without in-person meetings.

Do I need to be a Chamber member to participate?

Nope. Booked for Business is open to everyone in the local business community, whether or not you’re a member of the Chamber. Chamber membership is required to attend in-person Booked for Business events, like the book launch.
